Commission a painting
Yazan Orabi accepts a limited number of personal commissions each year. They are not portraits in the conventional sense. Each begins with conversations — about a person, a family, a memory or a desire — in which personality and contradiction gradually reveal themselves, and becomes a painting that holds what was never quite said.
How a commission works
First a conversation, in person or by call, to understand who and what the painting is about. Then size, orientation and timing are agreed; a commission can be painted to hang in four directions. The finished work is an original acrylic on canvas, signed, with photographs of its progress along the way.
Commissions suit private homes, villas, offices, hotels and collectors who want a work that exists only for them. Write below to begin.
